Welcome to the online home of Labeled Wine Consulting, an independently operated venture in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Jonathan Wilson, owner/operator, wanted to make his passion a reality, and decided to make wine his full-time focus after several years in the restaurant & hospitality industry.  He entered the sommelier certification program through the Canadian Association of Professional Sommeliers in 2007, and graduated in 2009, earning the Kent Clarke award for Top Graduate.  In his continued search for more and more wine knowledge, Jonathan also received his Level 3 Advanced Certificate (with distinction) from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust in London, England in 2010, and will soon be undertaking their two year Level 4 diploma program.  He also possesses his Bachelor of Science from Dalhousie University and graduated as the Valedictorian of the Life Sciences Class of 2005.

Jonathan’s obsession with the world’s greatest beverage has led him to where he is today after sommelier/management stints at some of Halifax’s top wine/food establishments including: The Westin Nova Scotian Hotel, Nectar Social House, and Bear Restaurant.  Although he appreciates how complicated wine can be, he wants to show that it has something for everyone to enjoy.  He strongly believes that wine is for everyone, not just elitists, and he spreads those words everyday working as the Sales Manager/Sommelier for two of Nova Scotia’s top wine merchants, Harvest Wines & Spirits and Cristall Wine Merchants.
